Katy is a very special little dog. She fought her way back to life with incredible strength and an inspiring will to survive. Despite her delicate appearance, she has the heart of a true warrior. She wanted to live – and you can feel that in every single moment with her.

Katy was hit by a car and came to our shelter afterward. In the beginning, she dragged her legs behind her and was unable to control her bladder. Step by step, she fought her way back. Today she is able to use her legs again, although her hind legs are still a bit wobbly. Her bladder is no longer an issue.

Katy loves calm and quiet surroundings. She doesn’t like being the center of attention and prefers simply being there without too much noise or excitement around her. She doesn’t demand attention, but she truly loves spending time with people. Gentle strokes and cuddles are her little piece of heaven – she accepts them with gratitude and complete devotion.

She gets along well with other dogs, even if she is rather reserved around them. What matters most to Katy is a peaceful, loving home where she feels safe, cherished, and free to just be herself.

Katy ist eine ganz besondere Hündin. Sie hat sich mit unglaublicher Stärke und einem beeindruckenden Überlebenswillen zurück ins Leben gekämpft. Trotz ihrer zierlichen Erscheinung steckt in ihr ein großes Kämpferherz. Sie wollte leben – und das spürt man in jedem Moment mit ihr.

Katy wurde angefahren und kam danach zu uns ins Shelter. Am Anfang zog sie ihre Beine hinter sich her und konnte ihre Blase nicht kontrollieren. Schritt für Schritt hat sie sich jedoch zurück ins Leben gekämpft. Heute nutzt sie ihre Beine wieder, auch wenn ihre Hinterbeine noch etwas schwanken. Ihre Blase ist mittlerweile kein Problem mehr.

Katy liebt die Ruhe. Sie steht nicht gern im Mittelpunkt und genießt es, einfach dabei zu sein, ohne viel Trubel um sich herum. Sie sucht nicht die Aufmerksamkeit, aber sie liebt es, Zeit mit Menschen zu verbringen. Streicheleinheiten sind für sie ein kleines Stück Himmel – sie nimmt sie dankbar und voller Hingabe an.

Mit anderen Hunden versteht sie sich gut, auch wenn sie ihnen gegenüber eher zurückhaltend ist. Für Katy ist das Wichtigste ein ruhiger, liebevoller Ort, an dem sie sich sicher fühlt, geliebt wird und einfach sein darf.
