What is a flight sponsor?

A flight sponsor is someone who takes one or two dogs with them on their flight ticket when travelling by plane. The animals travel safely in the cargo hold of the aircraft. At the destination airport, they are warmly welcomed by their new families or our staff.

How do I become a flight sponsor?

  1. Get in touch: Get in touch with us using the contact form at the bottom of this page or by e-mail and let us know your flight date and airline.

  2. We organise everything else: We will check whether a dog can travel on your flight date. If so, we will contact you with a request for further passenger information. We will then take care of the booking and all the necessary formalities.

  3. Meeting on the day of departure: We will meet you at the airport, check the dog in together and take it to the bulky baggage counter.

  4. Relaxed journey: You enjoy your flight as usual. The dog travels safely with you without you having to worry about anything else.

  5. Arrival and handover: After landing, you collect the dog from the bulky baggage area. Immediately afterwards you will meet the collectors who are already waiting for you to receive the dog.

  • Don't worry, there are no additional costs for you! We or the new owners will cover all transport costs.

  • No, we take care of everything. We take the dogs to check-in and make sure they are picked up at their destination airport.

  • The additional time required is really minimal. Although online check-in is not possible in this case, you can simply check in conveniently at the airport. The check-in itself only takes a little longer as we check the dogs in together. On arrival, you go to the counter for bulky baggage, which is usually located where you collect your large suitcases. You then meet the people collecting the dogs - this only takes a few extra minutes. With this small effort, however, you are giving a dog a new life

  • Of course! We will provide you with the contact details of a contact person who can be contacted at any time should something unexpected happen.

  • No, don't worry! The transport takes place within the EU and all dogs have the necessary papers and vaccinations. You simply walk out of the security area through the green zone as usual.

  • Dogs can be transported with Lufthansa, Condor, Tui, and Eurowings.

    Unfortunately, dogs cannot be transported in the cargo hold when transferring via Munich, but they can be carried in hand luggage.
